Abstract

The study aims to identify the effect of using the guided discovery method on learning the skills of running and throwing for students with special needs in  Kuwait.
The experimental method has been used in an experimental design for one experimental group, which is based on a comparison between the two measurements, pre and post, due to its suitability to the nature and conditions of the research.
The research sample has been chosen randomly from the research community. The main sample included (40) deaf and dumb students with combined hearing loss - 91 dB or more - and they were selected from the third grade pupils.
The most important conclusions of the research are:

Learning using the directed discovery method has a positive effect on learning the basic motor skills of the experimental group students
The use of the directed discovery method helps the teacher in the educational process, as well as the learner in the ease of learning and the acquisition of theoretical and practical information and knowledge.
