Abstract

Malnutrition as a concept is more comprehensive than undernutrition in terms of the resulting symptoms and causes. On the one hand, it may be caused by an increase in the body's access to nutrients in excess of its need, and on the other hand, it may be represented by a lack of quantity and quality of these elements, but in both cases there are symptoms that result from Malnutrition such as weak immunity of the child, deaths of some children, weight loss or gain, children with symptoms of anemia, defects in the growth process, general weakness and body wasting (6:15).
Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Salam (2008 AD) indicates that the child acquires healthy and improper eating habits from the home and surrounding environment. If the child grows up in a family that does not have a sound food culture, this culture will be translated into improper eating habits, which negatively affects his health and intelligence And the percentage of his knowledge. (5:2)
Malnutrition is not necessarily the result of poverty and lack of food, as it may be the result of wrong nutritional practices, lack of knowledge of the foundations of nutrition as well as chronic diseases.
