Abstract

This research aims to try to design a rehabilitation program to improve respiratory functions after recovery from pneumonia of the infection of the coronavirus Covid-19 and the researcher used the experimental approach on a sample of (14 injured) (7 patients practicing sports activity before infection) (7 infected non-practicing sports activity before infection) and the program was applied for (6 weeks) and the important results were: -

1- The proposed program has a positive effect on the improvement of heart rate and the level of blood saturation with SPO2 and on the functional state of the lungs (respiratory rate, vital capacity VC, inhalation capacity IC, maximum exhalation per the second FEV1, maximum exhalation capacity FEV-ex, maximum flow of exhalation PEF, maximum flow of exhalation after 25% of exhalation, maximum flow of exhalation after 50% of exhalation, maximum flow of exhalation after 75% of exhalation, breathing volume (TV) for those who are engaged in sports activity or not practicing before the injury.

2- Functional rehabilitation of the respiratory system after recovery from infection with the Coved-19 has a better and faster positive effect for practitioners of sports activity before infection than for non-practitioners of sports activity before infection where they need a longer time.

Recommendations

1- respiratory rehabilitation after recovery from the symptoms of the novel coronavirus COVED-19 should start directly and under medical supervision and considering the vital signs of the infected.

2- The need to rehabilitate each injured person separately according to his condition and needs and take precautionary measures
