Abstract

The research aims to identify the effectiveness of using the Dalton method on reducing tension and the level of performance of some table tennis skills for first-year students at the Faculty of Physical Education in Qena, and to design a test to measure stress in the basics of table tennis course, among the research sample. The researcher used the experimental method with a design that relies on one group , The research sample was chosen by a random, intentional method from the students of the first year of the Faculty of Physical Education, South Valley University, the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024 AD, and their number is (40) experimental group students, and the exploratory sample from the research community and outside the basic sample is (20) students, and it was the most important Results: It was concluded that using the Dalton method in the basics of table tennis course helped reduce stress among the research sample and improved the level of performance of some table tennis skills, The researcher recommends using the Dalton method as a teaching method in theoretical and practical courses in colleges of physical education, and the necessity of using the Dalton method in teaching table tennis skills to students in colleges of physical education.
