The effect of using educational video clips via YouTube in Learning some basketball skills among students of the Faculty of Physical Education in Tanta

Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of using educational video clips via the YouTube application in learning some basketball skills under research among students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Tanta University. The researchers used the experimental method due to its suitability to the nature of this research by using an experimental design for two groups, one experimental and the other control, following pre- and post-measurements. For each of them, the research sample included students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Tanta University, for the academic year 2023-2024. They numbered (60) students and were divided into two groups, one experimental and the other a control group. Each group consisted of (30) students in addition to (20) students to conduct the exploratory study for the research. One of the most important results was the use of the educational program based on the use of educational video clips via the YouTube application, which had a positive impact on Cognitive and skill achievement of basketball skills under investigation Likewise, the students of the experimental group, which used the educational program based on educational video clips via the YouTube application, outperformed the students of the control group in achieving the knowledge and skills under study, which used explanation and model giving.
