Abstract

This study aimed to shed light on both the actual and theoretical biomechanical characteristics of performing the double straight back rotation skill on a floor exercise machine. This was achieved through the following:

- Determining the actual mechanical characteristics of the skill under study

- Determining the theoretical mechanical characteristics of the skill under study

- Comparing the actual and theoretical mechanical characteristics

This scientific approach leads to the organization of a scientific-pedagogical experiment. It can be said that in order to better understand the complex gymnastic performance, it is appropriate not only to analyze isolated parameters, but also to analyze gymnastic skills in terms of their interacting biomechanical properties throughout their entire time course. Therefore, one of the goals of this research was to identify different prototypes. It is noted that when dealing with inverse problems, one of the important issues is transferring the real motion to the model and how to find an ideal description of the motion. This will provide a basis for future recommendations for training exercises
